Gear Review: Icebreaker Bodyfit 260 Baselayer

Gear Review: Icebreaker Bodyfit 260 Baselayer 9.5/10
Now you can get leggings and top in Icebreaker's Bodyfit 260 range, which is their mid-weight merino wool (all their stuff is) range.  Bodyfit 260 is extremely warm without too much bulk, ideally suited for cold days/nights on the mountain, they're all natural so good for those who find synthetics irritating.  Don't plump for cheapo cotton mix base layers, they're rubbish at wicking moisture away from the body and will leave you cold when active (if in doubt check the label).  Can be worn as a single layer or mid-layer (top only).  If you feel the cold, this is the warmest baselayer you're going to get, it only loses .5 because of the price (top retails at £64.99). It can be worn in the UK Autumn onwards really, so is well worth the money.  Once you've worn merino you'll never get it off!
SPECS:
  • midweight thermal bodywear 260 merino wool
  • temperature regulating
  • high warmth to weight ratio
  • low bulk
  • breathable
  • odour resistant
  • machine washable
